Our Story

“Sharing a pot of tea with the family is everything to me. It’s essentially love in a cup, and you can’t get a better feeling than that!”

One of my fondest memories as a child is spending countless hours with my grandmother in her tiny kitchen in Sydney. Whether it would be her teaching me how to cook or how to brew the perfect tea, we created a special bond through our love of food and tea, which is something I will always treasure.

By the age of 18, I was incredibly curious about the world of tea and food around me, so I decided it was about time I left Sydney to see and experience different cultures. I travelled the world by myself for 10 years and in that time I experienced so many different flavours from numerous destinations. One of my most exciting experiences was working in England for a beautiful family who further developed my accomplishments in the art of tea. I learnt so many incredible skills that I’m still using today and this is what inspired me to open my own teahouse.

Fast forward 2 years, I spent my time studying the art of tea in China & Egypt. After seeking all this information, it was time to use this knowledge to open a cafe of my own when I returned back to Australia.

In 2019, I opened my first cafe, The Jade Teapot in Wollongong. My new tea range was so popular that I release a new tea blends every month and soon I had to find a bigger location. Thats when I found the most beautiful location in the Sutherland Shire. The Jade Teahouse at Camellia Gardens.
